THE FEUD

In a 1991, Shawn Michaels walked out on Marty during a match at Survivor Series, a result of frustration he felt from their lack of title success and his wish to break out on his own. In an attempt to help settle their differences, Brutus Beefcake invited the both of them to appear on "The Barbershop." Shawn and Marty appeared to reconcile, but then Michaels hit Marty with a superkick and soon threw him through the set's plate glass window. Working the "injury," Marty sat at home for several months.
Michaels, meanwhile, won the Intercontinental Championship.  Marty returned in early 1993, challenging Michaels to a match at the Royal Rumble. Marty lost due to a botched interference from Sensational Sherri, but the two continued their feud. Marty won the Intercontinental Championship from Shawn Michaels in May 1993 on Monday Night Raw,


After the breakup of the Rockers, Marty Jannetty teamed with the 1-2-3- Kid for a time.  On January 10, 1994, the team of Marty Jannetty and the 1-2-3 Kid won the WWE World Tag Team Titles from the Quebecers.  In 1996, Marty Jannetty, along with Lief Cassidy (Al Snow) formed the New Rockers.
